PM Modi's Upcoming Tri-State Visit to Focus on Gaganyaan Mission Review

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day tour across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra starting Tuesday, during which he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects valued at over Rs 24,000 crore.

Modi's itinerary includes a visit to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, where he will inaugurate three significant space infrastructure projects amounting to around Rs 1,800 crore. Moreover, he will review the progress of 'Gaganyaan,' India's ambitious human spaceflight mission.

Heading to Tamil Nadu, the Prime Minister will unveil and lay the foundation stone for numerous infrastructure ventures valued at over Rs 17,300 crore on Wednesday. These projects encompass the initiation of the 'outer harbour container terminal' at V O Chidambaranar port and the launch of India’s maiden indigenous green hydrogen fuel cell inland waterway vessel. Additionally, Modi will address a gathering of MSME entrepreneurs engaged in the automotive sector in Madurai.

In Maharashtra, Modi will inaugurate various infrastructure undertakings related to rail, road, and irrigation, collectively valued at more than Rs 4,900 crore. He will also distribute the second and third instalments of approximately Rs 3,800 crore under the 'Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi' scheme.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will oversee the distribution of revolving funds amounting to Rs 825 crore to 5.5 lakh women self-help groups across Maharashtra. He will also initiate the distribution of one crore Ayushman cards throughout the state.

Additionally, Modi will launch the 'Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana' aimed at providing housing for beneficiaries from the Other Backward Classes category in Maharashtra. This initiative involves the construction of 10 lakh houses, with the first instalment of Rs 375 crore set to benefit 2.5 lakh beneficiaries.

The transfer of the 16th instalment of funds under the 'PM-KISAN' scheme signifies a significant milestone, with over Rs 3 lakh crore distributed to more than 11 crore farmers' families to date.

The inauguration of the PSLV integration facility at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre is expected to enhance the frequency of PSLV launches from six to 15 per year. This cutting-edge facility will also accommodate launches for SSLV and other small launch vehicles developed by private space companies.
