Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the next guest on Nikhil Kamath's podcast series, 'People By WTF', according to a new trailer. Earlier, the Zerodha co-founder had piqued interest online with a teaser featuring a mysterious guest speaking in Hindi.
The teaser had sparked widespread speculation, with many social media users guessing that the guest was none other than PM Modi. Now, Kamath has shared a two-minute trailer for the episode on X with the caption, "People with The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi | Ep 6 Trailer".
Sharing the trailer of the podcast on his X handle, PM Modi wrote: "I hope you all enjoy this as much as we enjoyed creating it for you!"
The video features a candid conversation between Kamath and the Prime Minister.
"I am sitting here in front of you and talking, I feel nervous. It's a tough conversation for me," says Kamath in the video, speaking in Hindi. PM Modi responds with a smile saying, "This is my first podcast, I don't know how it'll go with your audience."
In the trailer, Kamath explains that he wanted to have a show where politics meets entrepreneurship.
He also inquired with the Prime Minister about the prevailing state of the world, where there are conflicts in different places.
The dialogue also talks about previous speeches of the PM Modi as the chief minister.
"I said something in an insensitive way. Mistakes happen. I am human, not a God," the PM Modi quoted.
The next dialogue was the two consecutive terms of PM Modi.
Kamath, sharing his own experience, mentioned how politics was viewed negatively during his upbringing.
"Growing up in a South Indian middle-class home, we were always told that politics is a dirty game. This belief is so ingrained in our psyche that it is almost impossible to change it. What is your one advice for people who think the same? he asked.
PM Modi countered, "If you believed in what you said, we wouldn't be sitting here talking."
The trailer of the episode has already generated a lot of buzz but the date for the release of the episode hasn't been revealed.
This would be the first time PM Modi features on a podcast. Though he has hosted 'Mann Ki Baat' and appeared in numerous television interviews, this is the first time he will appear in the format of a podcast.
