Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the Mahayuti alliance headed by the BJP was committed to making Maharashtra not a cash machine of the "Mahaghotalebaaj" figures related to the Maha Vikas Aghadi, or the most corrupt.
He said the whole nation recognises MVA as synonyms of corruption.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Akola for Mahayuti candidates, PM Modi intensified his criticism of the MVA coalition—which includes the Congress, Shiv Sena-UBT, and NCP-SP—by stating that "it stands for multi-crore scams, for extortion and token money. It stands for transfer posting racket and is completely immersed in scandals, loot and corruption."
Specifically targeting directly both the Congress and the broader MVA, the Prime Minister further reiterated that Mahayuti, which includes BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP would not rest even at such a time till it regained the helm of Maharashtra.
"The Congress Party knows the weaker the country, the stronger the Congress will be. That is why it is the nature of Congress to make different castes fight. Since Independence, the Congress never allowed our Dalit community to unite. The Congress also kept our ST community divided into different castes. The Congress gets irritated on hearing the name OBCs. To ensure that the OBC community does not have a separate identity, the Congress has played various games,," Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed.
He further said, "The Congress wants that different castes of SC society keep fighting and quarreling amongst themselves. Because the Congress knows that if different castes of SC society keep fighting among themselves, their voice will get dispersed, their votes will get dispersed and as soon as this happens, the way will be paved for Congress to come to power."
Speaking on the latest political movements in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), the Prime Minister said, "Today, the nation is concerned about another sensitive issue. In the J&K Legislative Assembly, Congress and its allies passed a proposal to restore Article 370. I ask you, should Article 370 be reinstated in Jammu and Kashmir?".
Congress and its friends did not respect the Constitution formed by Baba Saheb Ambedkar, or high court decisions, or national feelings, PM Modi said.
"At a time when Baba Saheb Ambedkar was working to draft the constitution he is not given credit for his achievement in the vision document of the UPA, nor is he given credit in the Congress party for any of the landmark work done by him," he said.
He also hailed initiatives by the Centre and the Mahayuti government in supporting farmers, saying, "Our resolve is that the farmer himself should be so empowered that he emerges as the hero of the country's progress! Therefore, we are increasing the income of the farmer and reducing their expenses. We started the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, the Mahayuti government gave its support to it. The result is that farmers of Maharashtra are getting Rs 12,000 annually.
He turned criticism back to Congress, saying, "The Congress is snatching away the rights of the Scheduled Caste community. Cheating on SCs is the 'Chaal' and 'Charitra' of Congress party. You all must remember that 'Ek Hai to Safe Hai' (if united we are safe)," urging citizens to resist attempts to create division along caste, religious, and other lines.
