Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday promised to the people of the country that his government will take "big decisions" in its third term. He also asserted that his government will continue its drive against corruption and there will be no compromise with that.
“All Indians will walk together and make the country progress the third term will be used to write new chapters of bold decisions and it is a guarantee of Modi,” PM Modi said while addressing party workers at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
Promising to continue the drive against corruption, the prime minister said that all efforts will be made to eradicate corruption in all forms.
“If the country has to progress in the 21st century, then we will have to wage a war against corruption. Digital India and technology have given wings to containing corruption, but this fight is becoming difficult. Glorifying the corrupt with extreme shamelessness is giving strength to them. However, the third term of NDA will be utilised to eradicate corruption in all forms,” PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister emphasised that women-led development was a top government objective and that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty in the previous ten years. PM Modi also added that the NDA administration would continue to strive towards a "Viksit Bharat," with the Constitution serving as their compass.
“Our Constitution is our guiding light. This year will mark 70 years of our Constitution. We will work with all states and work hard towards becoming ‘Viksit Bharat’,” he said.
The prime minister also paid tribute to his late mother, saying that the ladies of the country not let her ever feel her absence.
“This moment is very emotional for me. This was my first election after the death of my mother. But mothers, sisters, and daughters never allowed me to feel her absence. Wherever I went, I received enormous blessings from people. Women broke all the records of voting in this election,” he said.
