Siddaramaiah misinformed the Karnataka High Court on the MUDA case, accused Snehamayi Krishna, one of the three petitioners in the case, on Thursday.
Krishna said Siddaramaiah had suppressed vital information in his writ petition to get relief. He alleged that such suppression amounts to contempt of court and the lawyers would bring it to the notice of the court when the High Court takes up Siddaramaiah's writ petition for hearing on August 29.
Krishna also levelled a charge against Siddaramaiah that he knew about a letter written by his wife, Parvathi, to the MUDA department. While Krishna pointed out that though there were 713 pages of documents in the writ petition, page 531 of the petition contained only the first page of Parvathi's letter to her husband. He added that page 532, which was supposed to be the second page of this letter was missing with correction fluid smudged on it, and the real page 532 consisted of proceedings relating to the MUDA case.
Krishna criticized the omission and tampering of the second page as an attempt to conceal the truth from the court of law and the public. He added that Siddaramaiah had furnished information to Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot when a show-cause notice was issued, citing the letter of his wife on page 30.
The High Court, however, provided temporary relief to Siddaramaiah following his writ petition seeking a stay and quashing of the Governor's order for investigating him. The court instructed the lower court to refrain from any orders until August 29.
