Maharashtra to rename Aurangabad, Osmanabad, new international airport
The Navi Mumbai International Airport -- currently being constructed by the Adani Group in adjoining Raigad to decongest Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai -- shall be renamed after the late 'Dinkar Balu Patil', a prominent leader of the coastal Konkan belt, instead of the Shiv Sena founder, the late Balasaheb Thackeray, as earlier contemplated.
Opposition, ruling party to pick candidates for Vice President poll
Incumbent Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu could be given a second term while West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar, Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Jammu Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha are said to be front runners from the ruling camp. But as of now there has been no official deliberations for the post, sources said.

Prabhu's plea said the Governor's communication, issued on June 28, which was received by them at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, is in complete defiance of the fact that the top court is seized of the issue of the disqualification proceedings against the rebel Sena MLAs. It contended that the top court is considering the validity of the disqualification proceedings and has kept the matter for hearing on July 11, and the issue of disqualification is directly connected/interlinked with the issue of floor test.
Shiv Sena rebels donate Rs 51L for Assam flood victims
Rebel leader and Minister Eknath Shinde announced a contribution of Rs 51 lakh to the Assam Chief Minister Relief Fund on behalf of all the Sena MLAs and his supporters camping there. "We have decided to help with Rs 51 lakh to the Assam CM Relief Fund for the brothers in the flood-hit areas on behalf of all the Shiv Sena MLAs and my supporter legislators," tweeted Shinde on his warm gesture.
'We are ready for floor test', says Eknath Shinde
The temple management committee welcomed Shinde and other MLAs in the temple. Shinde and other rebel Shiv Sen MLAs have been camping in Guwahati's Radisson Blu hotel for over a week now, and earlier a report came that the hotel was booked till June 30 for their stay. "Will return to Mumbai tomorrow, prayed for the wellbeing of the people of Maharashtra here in the Kamakhya temple," said Shinde after visiting the temple.

Patna HC gives Tej Pratap, Aishwarya another chance in divorce case
The hearing for the divorce case between Tej Pratap Yadav and Aishwarya Rai was held in the court of Justice Ashutosh Kumar and Justice Jitendra Kumar on Tuesday. During 45 minutes of councelling, both the judges asked Tej Pratap and Aishwarya to give their final submissions whether they would stay together or take divorce. As they did not give any satisfactory answer, the court decided to give another chance to them for the counselling. The next date of hearing is July 19.
MVA countdown: Maharashtra Governor orders CM Thackeray to prove majority on June 30
A letter to the effect was issued to the Maharashtra Legislature Secretary by the Raj Bhavan late Tuesday -- soon after a delegation of the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met the Governor and urged him for immediate directions to the MVA to prove its majority. The Governor has convened a Special Session of the Maharashtra Assembly Thursday with a single point agenda of a trust vote against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
