Rahul slams Centre on Agniveer scheme, says Haryana now champion in unemployment

Addressing a rally in Haryana's Panipat during his Bharat Jodo Yatra, he said that earlier a soldier used to serve the country for 15 years and proper training was imparted and retirement benefits were given but now after 5 years he will be unemployed. He said Panipat was once a hub of medium manufacturers, but now the situation has changed. "Due to demonetisation, GST, which were not policies, but weapons to destroy small and medium enterprises," said Gandhi. The Congress leader alleged that the country's wealth was held by 200 to 300 people.
Sonia Gandhi stable, recovering

"Mrs Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson UPA, who is admitted at Sir Gangaram Hospital for a viral respiratory infection is stable and is making a gradual recovery," said Dr Ajay Swaroop, Chairman, Board of Management, at the hospital on Friday.Earlier, Dr Swaroop said: "Sonia Gandhi has been "admitted in the Department of Chest Medicine under the care of Dr. Arup Basu and his team." She was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday for "observation and treatment of a viral respiratory infection", he had said. L-G nominated 10 persons under Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957: L-G House

Governor, who is the "Administrator" has nominated 10 persons in pursuance of the powers vested in him vide Section 3(3)(b)(i) of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act (DMC Act), 1957," the L-G House added. The statement from L-G Secretariat said, "The Section 3(3)(b)(i) of the DMC Act, 1957, reads as follows: "10 persons who are not less than 25 years of age and who have special knowledge or experience in municipal administration, to be nominated by the Administrator."
Bill seeking removal of Governor as Chancellor need not be sent to President: PDT Achary

Former secretary general of the 14th and 15th Lok Sabha P.D.T. Achary said there are certain issues where the Governor need to send it to the President to get her assent. "However in this case, there is no need for him to send it to the President for her assent as this is an issue that's concerning State Universities and for it, an assent from the President is not required," said Achary.
