Delhi HC adjourns hearing on Delhi minister Satyendar Jain's bail plea
The court directed Satyendar Jain's counsel to submit written submissions by January 18, the next date of hearing. All three were denied bail on November 17, 2022. Appearing for the minister, senior advocate N. Hariharan read relevant portions of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) case's charge sheet to the court.
'Anarchy' in Maharashtra Congress', change party chief, demands state leader
The demand has been in a letter penned to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge by former legislator from Nagpur Dr Ashishrao R. Deshmukh - the son of Congress strongman, former state party chief minister Ranjeet Deshmukh. Without mincing words, Deshmukh has blamed Patole for all the ills plaguing the party after he took over as the state chief in February 2021, and claimed that it has gone into "anarchy".

Nadda to continue as BJP President till June 2024
Informing about the decision taken in the BJP National Executive meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh proposed to extend the presidential term of Nadda till June 2024, which was approved.
