Delhi Assembly adjourned for day amid sloganeering by BJP, AAP MLAs
The House saw repeated adjournments within an hour after it met around 11 a.m. for the first day of the session. As a mark of protest against Delhi government's inaction to deal with the deteriorating air quality, the BJP MLAs arrived at the Assembly carrying oxygen cylinders and wearing masks.

"The sitting of the Legislative Assembly has been tentatively fixed for January 16, 17 and 18. Subject to the exigencies of business, the sitting of the House may be extended," said an official. "The session will begin from 11 a.m. and will continue till the work scheduled for the day comes to end," he added.

Scheduled for a 4 p.m start, the meeting will conclude by 4 p.m. on Tuesday. It happens to be the first big meeting of this new and fully packed year for the BJP. The meeting is expected to endorse an extension of tenure for party national president J.P. Nadda and deliberate on its strategy for Assembly and general elections.

In the absence of recording Hash Value during the seizure, the CBI can change the record in the seized CPU as per its convenience to maliciously frame me," Sisodia said in a statement.

'Naga political issue' remains unresolved, but ruling alliance faces no threat
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) finalised a seat sharing deal in July last year to contest the 60-member Nagaland assembly elections. The opposition Congress was keen to forge a "secular alliance" with like-minded parties before the elections. India's first all party and opposition-less government, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) led by the NDPP practically has no strong opposition except some Naga bodies and NGOs. With 12 members the BJP is also an ally of the UDA.

The two coalition partners have decided to go solo in the state election, with Conrad Sangma's party already announcing the candidates for the 58 seats in the 60-member Meghalaya Assembly, while the BJP is yet to finalise the candidates' names. Marak, an elected member of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council, was accused of running a brothel in his farmhouse. According to the police, arms and ammunition were seized from his house.
