Teachers' scam: Becoming minister seems to be my only crime, Partha Chatterjee to court
"I am sure the truth will surface some time or the other. Accepting the chair of the minister was my crime. I cannot claim that I was an extremely meritorious student. At the same time, I was not a bad student either. I am an alumnus of Ramakrishna Mission. I had been employed in an important position in a Central government undertaking. Now I feel that being a minister was my only crime," Partha Chatterjee said.
'This is the 7th case in which Rahul Gandhi is out on bail'
As per sources, this is the seventh case in which Gandhi is now out on bail. Gandhi is also out on bail in the National Herald case. Rahul Gandhi along with his mother Sonia Gandhi was granted bail in December 2015 on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 in the case pursued by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy.

Reacting to sentencing of Gandhi in a defamation case, Chowdhury said that because of Rahul Gandhi's fear, he is being pressurised from all sides, however he will not be cowed down. "Why two years, even if he is sentenced to 2,000 years, Rahul Gandhi will remain Rahul Gandhi," the Congress leader said while speaking to mediapersons in Parliament.
