Excise policy scam: Delhi court adjourns hearing in Manish Sisodia's bail plea
"We have evidence that Sisodia had e-mails planted. These were received not only in the official e-mail account of the excise department, but even in his personal e-mail account. The meeting comes after Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took the first step to unite the opposition parties ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha election. But according to BJP sources, he is likely to return disappointed. While interacting with reporters before leaving for the national capital, Shettar said, "BJP National President J.P. Nadda has invited me and am leaving for the national capital. Am sure that meeting the National President is a good development from the party's perspective."
Will obey high command: Karnataka BJP leader Eshwarappa
While interacting with the media, Eshwarappa stated that he is in constant touch with the high command. "BJP does not derive strength from any individual. The party has not followed the Gujarat model in selection of candidates," he said. After seeing the first list of BJP, the opposition Congress has become jittery. The people would elect the BJP government in the state, he said.
Modi surname case: Rahul Gandhi to appear in Patna's MP-MLA court today
However, it is not clear whether he will appear in court or not. The case was filed by BJP senior leader and MP Sushil Kumar Modi against Rahul Gandhi's alleged remark "Why all Modis are thieves" in his speech in Kolar district of Karnataka in 2019. Rahul Gandhi was convicted in the same case (criminal defamation) from Surat court. He was also sentenced to two years jail and is currently on bail.
Nitish reaches Delhi to meet opposition leaders, starts with Lalu Prasad
JD-U national President Lalan Singh and Bihar Minister Sanjay Jha were also present at the meeting. Nitish Kumar is on a three-day tour to New Delhi to meet opposition leaders of the country including Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, party President Mallikarjun Kharge and other leaders and prepare a plan for the Lok Sabha election.
