Speaking to reporters here on his next move, Shettar claimed that all options were open for him now. "I am discussing with my well-wishers on which decision is suitable for me. Though Congress leaders have not contacted him yet, he will discuss with his close circles about joining the Congress."
Atiq Ahmed assailants have criminal records, say police

The three had posed as journalists and joined a group of media persons after which they shot dead Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf from point-blank range while they were speaking to reporters in Prayagraj on Saturday night. Their families have said they have nothing to do with them. The police, that swung into action immediately after subduing the three shooters on the spot, are probing their background and criminal antecedents.

Surprisingly, the families of all three men have disowned the assailants and said that they had already left their homes much before the incident. All three have been booked and jailed for petty crimes in the past.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to appear before CBI today

According to official information, Kejriwal is likely to appear before the CBI officials by 11 a.m. on Sunday. His questioning will be held at the CBI headquarters. As of now he hasn't said that he won't appear. It is the first time when Kejriwal will be questioned by the central probe agency. The CBI has filed a charge sheet in the matter and now they are all set to file a supplementary charge sheet.
Quota withdrawal for Muslims: Karnataka BJP upbeat despite Supreme Court rap

The Supreme Court has recently observed that the ruling BJP government's decision to withdraw four per cent reservation under the OBC category for Muslims appears to be "based on fallacious assumptions" and "was on a shaky foundation". The reservation quota has been increased for the influential Lingayat and Vokkaliga communities by two per cent each. The Muslim community has been brought under the 10 per cent reservation provided for the economically weaker sections (EWS).
