Politics in poll-bound MP heats up after PM Modi's visit; BJP and Congress spar over corruption

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday reiterated the Prime Minister's claim of the "Opposition indulging in corruption", and said that the BJP government would not spare anyone who would usurp public money. Chouhan further said: "Congress has always done politics of appeasement and used people just for its votebank."

According to reports, the assailants came in a vehicle that has a Haryana registration number. Chandra Shekhar has been admitted to a hospital and his condition is said to be stable. The bullets hit him in the stomach and waist but the injuries are said to be superficial.

EC announces poll dates for 10 RS seats on July 24

The elections will be held in the states of Goa, Gujarat and West Bengal. In a statement, the poll panel said that 10 members from Goa, Gujarat and West Bengal are scheduled to retire in the months of July and August. The 10 seats which are to be vacated in Rajya Sabha due to the retirement of members include Derek O’Brien from West Bengal and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar from Gujarat.

44% people trust Hindutva of Kamal Nath in MP; 41% back Shivraj's Hindutva: Opinion Poll

According to Opinion Poll, which was conducted with a sample size of 17,113 between May 26 and June 26, covering all the 230 Assembly seats in MP, 44 per cent of the respondents said that they trust the Hindutva of Kamal Nath in Madhya Pradesh. The survey said that 41.6 per cent of the respondents trust the Hindutva of Chouhan in the poll-bound state while 14.4 per cent people did not comment or they said they don't know.
Rahul Gandhi to visit Manipur on June 29, to meet people at relief camps

Sharing the details of Rahul Gandhi's travel plan to Manipur, Congress General secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal said in a tweet, "Rahul Gandhi will visit Manipur on June 29-30.
