The Chief of the Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and former minister, Om Prakash Rajbhar, hinted at the possibility of his inclusion in the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh, indicating a potential move post the conclusion of the inauspicious period known as 'kharmas' among many Hindus.
Rajbhar's suggestion of being considered for a position in the cabinet after the culmination of 'kharmas,' ending on January 15, points towards a probable cabinet expansion just before the inauguration of the Ram temple on January 22. This speculation follows his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.
Additionally, former minister Dara Singh Chauhan, an OBC leader from the Nonia subcaste, also met with the Union Minister, further igniting talks of an imminent cabinet reshuffle.
However, despite Rajbhar's aspirations to rejoin the Yogi cabinet, sources within the Uttar Pradesh BJP express skepticism regarding this prospect.
According to a senior party official, the likelihood of a cabinet reshuffle following 'kharmas' seems improbable due to the impending countdown to the Ram temple inauguration. The Chief Minister is anticipated to be preoccupied with various events, including managing the tourist influx, keeping the government engaged for the next month.
Regarding his attendance at the Ram Temple inauguration, Rajbhar vaguely commented, "We will be there," refraining from confirming any formal invitation.
This political anticipation regarding cabinet expansion amid significant events like the Ram temple inauguration underscores the dynamic landscape of Uttar Pradesh's political sphere.
