After a hiatus of one and a half years, the encounter between Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the 26th Eastern Regional Council gathering was marked by a noticeable air of discomfort, evident from their body language.
Nitish Kumar's reception of Amit Shah appeared perfunctory, maintaining a distant demeanor while presenting a flower bouquet, shawl, and memento, seemingly averting his gaze.
Notably, the Bihar Chief Minister extended greetings to representatives from West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand during the event.
Amit Shah's visit to Patna for the meeting, which commenced at 2 pm and concluded by 5 pm, centered discussions on pivotal subjects including safety, security, and fundamental concerns.
Previously, Nitish Kumar had abstained from numerous NITI Aayog and governmental assemblies to evade encounters with Amit Shah or PM Narendra Modi. Nevertheless, as Bihar hosted the regional council session, Nitish Kumar found himself compelled to engage with Amit Shah.
