Modi Criticizes Left and Congress in Kerala, Describing Them as 'One'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched what is believed to be the BJP-led NDA's Lok Sabha election campaign with a public rally in Trissur. Addressing a large gathering of women, he criticized Kerala's ruling CPI-M-led Left and the Congress-led opposition, describing them as sharing the same ideology within the INDIA bloc.

In his speech, Modi asserted that the traditional political fronts in Kerala, including the Left and the Congress, have not done enough for the state's women. He highlighted the 'Modi guarantees' and emphasized the importance the BJP-led NDA government places on women's empowerment.

Modi mentioned various schemes benefiting women, such as subsidised gas connections, water connections, sanitary pads, Mudra loans, and other women-centric projects. He stressed the importance of a strong NDA government, citing instances like the successful evacuation of people from conflict areas, including nurses from Kerala stuck in Iraq.

The Prime Minister criticized the Left and Congress in Kerala, accusing them of corruption and stalling infrastructure development. He referred to the infamous gold smuggling case, linking it to the state government's lapses. Modi also criticized the state government for not adhering to rules after receiving central assistance, pointing out the lack of accountability in fund utilization.

Modi mentioned a recent meeting with Christian leaders on Christmas Day, describing it as fruitful and expressing gratitude for their blessings and appreciation of the central government's work. The Trissur rally is seen as a significant step in the BJP's election campaign in Kerala, setting the tone for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
