Manjhi Alleges Tejashwi's Involvement in Bribery Scandal During Mahagathbandhan Rule

Addressing the media, Manjhi asserted, "Tejashwi Yadav accepted bribes from circle officers for transfer-postings in the land reforms and revenue department while the Mahagathbandhan was in power, demanding Rs 50 lakh from each officer."

On Monday, Jitan Ram Manjhi, the leader of Hindustani Awam Morcha-Secular (HAM-S), made allegations against Tejashwi Yadav, claiming that he accepted bribes of Rs 50 lakh each from circle officers in the land reforms and revenue department during the Mahagathbandhan regime in Bihar.

Addressing the media, Manjhi asserted, "Tejashwi Yadav accepted bribes from circle officers for transfer-postings in the land reforms and revenue department while the Mahagathbandhan was in power, demanding Rs 50 lakh from each officer."

Furthermore, Manjhi criticized Tejashwi Yadav's absence from the crucial budget session of the Assembly, questioning his claims of providing numerous job opportunities during the 17 months of the Mahagathbandhan government. Manjhi highlighted the lack of a constitutional position of a deputy chief minister in India and dismissed Tejashwi's assertions about job creation as false.

During the Mahagathbandhan's tenure last year, the land reforms and revenue department executed the transfer of 480 circle officers. However, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar intervened upon learning of alleged irregularities and revoked the decision within 25 days. Additionally, the transfer-postings of 500 officers and employees in the health department were annulled by the Chief Minister at that time.
