When asked what she had written in the note, Mahua answered, "I said I'm a big fan and would love to meet him for a coffee. But apparently, he lives in Alibagh and doesn't meet anybody for coffee. This happened during an interview when an anchor mentioned that she was going to speak to him next and I gave her the note to pass on."

Her appreciation did not end there. Mahua was so excited that she approached actor and fellow MP Ravi Kishan to assist her in getting in touch with Tripathi. Ravi set up a telephone conversation between the two, although Mahua confesses she was so starstruck, she forgot she even sent the note at all.
