Lalu Prasad Yadav Criticizes Nitish Kumar for His 'Feet Touching' Habit

"He has a habit of touching the feet of the people," said Lalu Prasad Yadav.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday flayed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for touching the feet of BJP veteran leader R.K. Sinha at Chitragupta Puja.

Nitish Kumar had gone to touch the feet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi quite a few times while pleading with the high police officers for recruitment in the police.

During the NDA parties meeting held in Delhi on 7 June 2024, where Prime Minister Modi praised Kumar for returning to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He came forward while thanking, and Nitish Kumar bent down and tried to touch the feet of PM Modi, but the Prime Minister decently intercepted and took the greeting warmly.

On 10 July 2024, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, while attending the inauguration of the JP Ganga Path road section between Gayaghat and Kangan Ghat in Patna, had a hilarious time with his officer.

We had project delays till now, and public appeal by Nitish to an officer, "Will the work be done on time or not? I fold my hands, and if you say so, I will touch your feet."

Nitish even bowed down in front of the officer to make his point clear but Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha and other leaders present there promptly checked him from doing that.
In another development, Lalu Prasad Yadav with daughter, MP Misa Bharti visited Ular Surya Temple at Dulhin Bazar on Tuesday during the first day of Chhath Puja that goes by the name of Nahai-Khai.

This temple is respected as one of the third most prominent Sun temples of India behind the Konark Sun Temple in Puri and Dev Surya Temple at the Aurangabad district of Bihar, forms a separate place in the faith of Bihar people especially when it is Chhath Puja.
