In rebuttal, Abdullah reaffirmed his endorsement of the campaign, citing the ill health implications of obesity, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and mental illnesses like anxiety and depression. Being an avid fitness fan, Abdullah is always vocal about exercising regularly, and his own dedication to living a healthy lifestyle, e.g., running marathons and working out every day, qualifies him as an ideal candidate for this cause.

Abdullah also seized the moment to nominate another ten people to take the campaign forward, as the Prime Minister urged him to take the movement forward through subsequent nominations. His initiative and active role in doing so are being regarded as a good example for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which would inspire others to give priority to their health and well-being.

The younger Abdullah's fitness enthusiasm is also well-documented, as he frequently participates in exercise such as running, cycling, and trekking and has inspired party supporters to make exercise a regular part of their activities. This compared with his less active father, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, who enjoys golf and social interaction, shows the varying attitudes of the family to health and fitness.

Considering his individual interest in being fit, Omar Abdullah's initiative for the anti-obesity movement is likely to strike a chord with many people, and he may motivate others in Jammu and Kashmir as well as elsewhere in India towards a healthier life.
