'He attacked BJP, not Hindus', Priyanka Gandhi Clarifies Rahul Gandhi's remarks in LS

She said that Rahul Gandhi's statements were against the BJP leadership, its policies, and not against Hinduism as a way of life. "He can't insult Hindus. He has made it very clear. He was talking about the BJP, about BJP leaders," Priyanka Gandhi said.

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra jumped to the defense of her brother, Rahul Gandhi, over the recent speech in the Lok Sabha, which had ruffled feathers among BJP leaders, stating he did not say anything against Hindus but slated only BJP.

She said that Rahul Gandhi's statements were against the BJP leadership, its policies, and not against Hinduism as a way of life. "He can't insult Hindus. He has made it very clear. He was talking about the BJP, about BJP leaders," Priyanka Gandhi said.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, in a subsequent social media post, lists various concerns of different segments of society and says, "Women fear inflation, farmers fear anti-farm laws, youth fear unemployment, students fear exam paper leaks, minorities fear hate and violence… BJP and RSS sow fear wherever they find an opportunity."
 

She added, "No one benefits from spreading fear, violence, and hatred among people. BJP should cease this kind of politics immediately."

Meanwhile, several BJP leaders strongly objected to Rahul Gandhi's remarks about Hindus.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju criticized Rahul Gandhi, saying, "I condemn Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji for labeling Hindus as violent, hateful, and dishonest without cause."

Similarly, BJP MP Tejashvi Surya condemned Rahul Gandhi's statement in his first speech as Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, asserting, "The extent of Rahul Gandhi's hostility towards Hindus is unbelievable. In his debut speech, he insulted all Hindus by branding them as promoters of violence. Shameful."
