Haryana Will Be a Key Component of Viksit Bharat Following Meeting with CM Saini, PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and wished him for the historic victory of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the just-concluded Assembly elections.
"I am confident that Haryana's role is going to play a pivotal role in realising the goal of a developed India," said PM Modi on his X handle, after meeting the Haryana CM.

CM Saini arrived at the Lok Kalyan Marg (LKM) official residence of the Prime Minister this morning, after pulling off a stunning victory in the Haryana Assembly elections.

This is the BJP's historic third-consecutive victory in Haryana and also its biggest win, in terms of numbers.

The party bettered its performance from the 2019 elections and bagged 48 seats in the 90-member Assembly.

The Haryana CM, accompanied by BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli, is likely to be meeting a lot of senior BJP leaders during the day.
During the day, his top party leadership meeting is also likely to deliberate on the formation of the new Cabinet in the state.

The Haryana unit of BJP is keen to conduct a swearing-in on Dussehra, the festival of victory of good over evil.

No date or venue has been firmed up, however.

When Saini meets the Central leadership, modality of the oath ceremony is likely to be discussed.

Meanwhile, the BJP legislature party meet is likely to take place on Thursday to elect its leader.

The 54-year-old CM Saini is believed to continue his tenure as the Chief Minister for the fact that the party has been restored to power in the state for the third time consecutively.

He had taken over as the Haryana CM after replacing Manohar Lal Khattar in March, much ahead of the scheduled Haryana Assembly elections.
