"If the state government fails to adhere to constitutional norms, the Governor will exercise his constitutional powers," Bose asserted.

Regarding the recent observation by the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court that there is no stay order on the arrest of Sheikh Shahjahan, a Trinamool Congress leader accused of masterminding an attack on ED and CAPF officers in Sandeshkhali on January 5, Bose remarked that the court's decision is final.

"The court has rightly emphasized that there can be no excuse for not arresting the accused. The court plays a crucial role in our democratic system, and therefore, the accused must be apprehended at any cost. I will closely monitor the situation," the Governor affirmed.
