According to reports, he will be accompanied by JMM MLAs Dashrath Gagrai, Ramdas Soren, Chamra Linda, Sameer Mohanty and former MLA Lobin Hembrom among others.

For the past three days, speculations were rife in political circles of Jharkhand that the leaders could join the BJP.

Earlier, Champai Soren had rubbished those reports saying, "I am fine where I am."

On Saturday evening, former JMM MLA Lobin Hembrom met Champai Soren at his residence in Ranchi.
After the meeting, Champai Soren left for his hometown in Jamshedpur. Lobin Hembrom has already announced his decision to join the BJP and has claimed that Champai Soren has been having talks with BJP leaders.
The MLAs are likely to meet BJP's Jharkhand election incharge Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Delhi on Sunday.

They are likely to formally join the BJP later in the day. If more than six MLAs switch sides, it may threaten the majority of the Hemant Soren government.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren is scheduled to attend an event in Pakur on Sunday.

Hemant Soren had resigned from the Chief Minister's post on January 31 following his arrest in a land scam case. Champai Soren assumed the role of Chief Minister on February 4 with Hemant's backing.

However, after coming out on bail on June 28, Hemant Soren removed Champai Soren and took back the Chief Minister's position on July 4.

It is since then that the tensions have risen, more so when Champai Soren himself led the JMM to victory in three Lok Sabha seats.
