In a resolute declaration, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted on Tuesday that the forthcoming election delineates a stark dichotomy: corruption versus zero tolerance. He underscored the imperative of a robust administration to reserve penitentiaries for the corrupt and criminal elements, portraying the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the sole harbinger of such governance.
Speaking at the Prabuddh Varg Sammelan convened in Pilibhit, Adityanath delineated the epochal shift since 2014, contrasting it with the preceding era marred by distrust and turmoil. He heralded the emergence of a rejuvenated India, steadfast in its pursuit of security, prosperity, youth empowerment, and fostering trust among its populace.
Drawing a sharp contrast with the despondency pre-2014, Adityanath depicted a nation in turmoil, where disillusionment with governance and political leadership had eroded global esteem. He recounted the despair of farmers resorting to self-harm and the youth compelled into exodus, against the backdrop of burgeoning extremism and Maoism.
Accentuating the metamorphosis post-2014, the Chief Minister extolled the rise of a resurgent India, basking in global acclaim under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He lauded the burgeoning entrepreneurial spirit among the youth, juxtaposing it with the erstwhile trend of migration, while hailing the newfound security emboldening daughters to contribute significantly, including taking up roles as fighter pilots.
Adityanath lauded India's ascendancy on the global stage under Modi's leadership, citing the eradication of terrorism in Kashmir and the quelling of extremism and Maoism in the North-Eastern states, fostering a safer milieu nationwide. He cited Uttar Pradesh's plummeting crime rates as evidence of effective governance, creating safer environs for women and entrepreneurs, while ensuring the seamless continuity of cultural festivities like the Kanwar Yatra amidst curfews.
In a nod to local initiatives, Adityanath highlighted the installation of electric fencing around farmers' lands in Pilibhit to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts. Additionally, he underscored the government's proactive stance in compensating farmers affected by wildlife conflicts, integrating such losses into disaster management protocols.
