He said that the BJP leaders and karyakartas, taking a cue from the relentless pursuit of 'Hindvi Swarajya' by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Arjuna's concentrated aim at the fish's eye, must single-mindedly work for the re-election of the MahaYuti government in Maharashtra.
During the state convention in Pune, Fadnavis asked the party leaders, office-bearers, and workers to respond promptly and boldly to opposition criticisms without waiting for any particular directions. Further, he has asked not to speculate on 'who will be the next Chief Minister' and to keep a united approach while facing the Assembly elections, away from "negative discussions."
Fadnavis expressed confidence that the BJP would cross 1.75 crore votes in the coming Assembly election, from its previous 1.50 crore votes. The former chief minister defended all decisions taken by the party strategically – be it the alliance with Shiv Sena with Eknath Shinde or, subsequently, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP after all the bitter conflicts. He justified these alliances by underscoring the party's commitment to keeping Maharashtra aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's transformative vision.
He attacked the Maha Vikas Aghadi as it has allegedly delayed the development and welfare programmes of the MahaYuti government. The former Chief Minister also criticised the MVA for its alleged design to undermine the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana', but assured that the government remains committed to its execution.
The victory of the MVA in the general elections, according to Fadnavis, is due to misconceptions about constitutional changes and reservation policy. On protests going on with regard to Maratha and OBC reservations, he refused to comment on new agitators but challenged MVA to clearly say whether the ruling is going to make any adjustment for OBC reservation quotas for accommodating Maratha reservation.
