This move comes as Minister Kailash Gahlot assumes the Women and Child Development Department alongside his existing roles, as stated in a gazette notification by the Delhi government. The Lieutenant Governor, in consultation with the Chief Minister, exercised powers under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi rules, assigning these new responsibilities. Atishi, already overseeing a significant array of portfolios, including Water Department since October, now shoulders the added responsibility of Law and Justice.
