Narendra Saluja, the BJP spokesperson in Madhya Pradesh, purportedly stated that Kamal Nath would meet Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge the next day to tender his resignation. However, both Babele and former minister P.C. Sharma dismissed these assertions, categorically labeling the reports as false and based on speculation.

Post the Congress' electoral setback, Kamal Nath urged party members not to lose heart and instead concentrate on regrouping and preparing for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, rallying their spirits. He drew parallels to the Congress' past challenges, notably the setback faced in the post-Emergency 1977 Lok Sabha polls, aiming to motivate party workers.

Additionally, senior Congress leader Lakshman Singh highlighted the blame placed on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) as an attempt to conceal internal party conflicts, asserting that machines lack the ability to respond to allegations.

These developments took place following Kamal Nath's meetings with Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi, as the party navigates its way forward post the recent electoral outcome.
