Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has written to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), inviting them to visit the CM House on January 31 at 1 p.m. for questioning in connection with a money laundering case related to an alleged land fraud matter. An ED team had visited Soren's residence in Delhi on Monday for the same purpose, but it is unclear whether they met with the Jharkhand CM.
The ED had reportedly sent a letter to Soren, asking about his availability for questioning between January 29-31. The letter stated that if he did not appear, the agency would come to him. In response, Soren sent an email to the ED.
Security has been increased outside Raj Bhavan and the CM House, with additional personnel deployed near the BJP office and other key establishments. The development is part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged land fraud case.
