Pawan Yadav, a legislator representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar, has come forward with alarming news, asserting that he was targeted with an extortion attempt originating from Pakistan. According to Yadav, the call, which he received on Monday, carried a demand of Rs 50 lakh accompanied by menacing threats to harm him and his family if compliance wasn't met.
Hailing from Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur, Yadav wasted no time in responding to the distressing situation. He promptly filed a written complaint at the Kahalgaon police station, ensuring official documentation of the incident. Additionally, he took the step of notifying the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) regarding the harrowing extortion call.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Bhagalpur has taken decisive action by constituting a specialized team to delve into the matter further. This investigative team is tasked with uncovering the intricacies surrounding the extortion attempt and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
