On Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the efforts of the Narendra Modi government in transforming Jammu and Kashmir, bringing an end to the era of terrorism and violence. Shah emphasized the government's commitment to development through extensive infrastructure and welfare projects. Using the hashtag #PragatisheelJammuKashmir, Shah highlighted the rejuvenation of the region under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, instilling new hope among the youth and fulfilling their dreams by enhancing educational and skill development facilities.
According to Shah, the Modi government's initiatives have not only eradicated terrorism but have also propelled Jammu and Kashmir into a symbol of India's robust democracy through substantial infrastructure and welfare measures. The home minister underscored the ancient and rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the Union Territory's cultural pride is being revitalized under the Modi government.
Shah accused dynastic politics of hindering the development of the region, asserting that the Modi government has reinforced the Panchayati Raj system to decentralize governance and deliver development at the grassroots level. He expressed relief for Jammu and Kashmir under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership after the abrogation of Article 370, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
A similar post on X from Shah's office highlighted Jammu and Kashmir's historical struggle with terrorism and extremism, crediting the Modi government for establishing peace and stability by revoking Article 370. The post noted a positive shift in the aspirations of the youth, attributing it to the government's policies, and claimed that not a single incident of stone-pelting occurred in Jammu and Kashmir in 2023.
