After Assembly Polls, India Alliance Talks to Be Revived, Assures Kharge to Nitish

Following Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's statement that the opposition INDIA bloc has been relatively inactive due to the Congress's involvement in the Assembly elections in five states, Congress party chief Mallikarjun Kharge engaged in a conversation with Nitish Kumar.

During this discussion, Kharge assured the Janata Dal (United) leader that alliance talks within the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) would resume after the completion of the Assembly elections in the five states.

As per party sources, Kharge and Kumar held this conversation over the phone on Friday night, focusing on the INDIA Alliance and its prospects. Kharge's commitment to continuing discussions post-elections aims to reinvigorate the alliance and strengthen the opposition bloc.

While addressing a rally of the Communist Party of India (CPI) in Bihar's Patna, Nitish Kumar said: "We have formed the INDIA to uproot BJP from the country but no progress is taking place in it. The Congress party is busy in Assembly elections in five states. After these assembly results, we will sit together and plan the next course of action."

The CPI had organised the rally with the tag line 'BJP Hatao Desh Bachao' in Patna where Nitish Kumar was invited.
