Organised by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), Hyundai India Couture Week 2025—presented in partnership with Reliance Brands—will kick off with a grand show by Rahul Mishra. The acclaimed designer recently captivated audiences in Paris with his collection titled Becoming Love, a tribute to the seven stages of love, drawing inspiration from the works of early 20th-century Austrian painter Gustav Klimt.

Speaking about the forthcoming presentation, Mishra explained in a press statement, "Each time we present in India, it gives us enormous pride to show our work on home ground, where the foundations of our craft are the deepest. To open Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 along with FDCI is an honour, and this collection particularly feels personal. It delves into the concept of love not as emotion, but as transformation and a path of becoming. In each look, we try to convey that subtle surrender, where craft, emotion, and soul meld into one."

The highlight of the closing day of this year's fashion extravaganza will be a resplendent collection by renowned couturier JJ Valaya. Acclaimed for marrying traditional values with contemporary sensibilities with ease, Valaya spoke about his show in an interview with ANI.

"I've always been a strong believer that, whatever form of art or craft or design, the design says much more than the designer. And in this one also, I believe that's the same. While I can inform you that it's named East and inspiration is drawn from different regions of the Eastern Hemisphere. But I feel that when we work eight months to create a 25-minute presentation, everything falls into place beautifully in that experience. So I think I am going to leave the collection to speak for itself."

FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi was thrilled to have Valaya present the final show. "JJ Valaya has been a visionary of Indian couture, and we are privileged to have him in close proximity to Hyundai India Couture Week 2025. His legacy that is long-standing, his masterful detailing, and his ageless designs make him the ideal designer to bring this milestone edition to a close. His closing presentation will surely be an apt crescendo to a week of celebration of India's best workmanship and creative excellence."
