Urvashi Rautela Shares Her Take on the Qualities of an Ideal Boyfriend and Husband

In between promoting her new film Jaat, Urvashi paused to discuss the nature of healthy relationships and how small, kind gestures can bring lasting harmony to couples.

Actress Urvashi Rautela recently shared her thoughts on relationships, showing us what she thinks is the key to being a great boyfriend or husband. Her tip? A sincere, simple apology can make all the difference.

In between promoting her new film Jaat, Urvashi paused to discuss the nature of healthy relationships and how small, kind gestures can bring lasting harmony to couples. Speaking during a chat with IANS on her new song Touch Kiya, she stated, "Thank you so much! It's a simple thing—any girl in the world would love to make her boyfriend say sorry. And if you can make any girl happy just by saying sorry, it's a win. The lyrics of the song are quite relatable.". I'll give you my heart, but first apologize. She added that many women will find these feelings extremely relatable.

Stressing the significance of emotional bonding, the Sanam Re star added, "If you want to be the best boyfriend and the best husband, just say sorry. Always keep your partner happy. I think this song will really strike a chord with the youth because, at the end of the day, every girl wants her partner to say sorry, irrespective of anything."

Looking back at her performance in Touch Kiya, Urvashi explained how she immersed herself in the energy of the character without resorting to dance numbers. "In Daku Maharaj, I was playing a police officer and concentrated only on acting. But actually, in this song, I didn't dance at all. There are no dance steps involved—I just went along with the character. I played the role of a lioness, and I was channeling that fierce, powerful energy," she explained.

She asked the audience to watch carefully at her expressions: "If you watch closely, just look at my eyes, and you'll see the lioness persona coming through." For Urvashi, the song has a clear tone due to composer Thaman, who incorporated different animal noises, such as lion roars and lioness calls, to add to its wild and liberating vibe.

“The lyrics, ‘I’ll give my heart to you, but first say sorry,’ really reflect a bold, confident woman—like a lioness,” she noted.

On a related front, Urvashi is also turning heads with her powerful screen presence in the vibrant dance number Touch Kiya, where she shares the frame with intense performers Randeep Hooda and Vineet Kumar Singh.

Directed by and also starring Sunny Deol, Jaat is primed for release in theatres on April 10, 2025.
