Aanvi Kamdar, a chartered accountant and former employee of Deloitte, a global IT and technology consulting firm, fell into a 300-foot-deep gorge while filming an Instagram Reel, which resulted in her tragic demise.
Rated among the popular travel influencers on Instagram with around 269,000 followers, she had gone along with seven other friends to Kumbhe waterfall in Mangao of Raigad district in Maharashtra.
She was filming the scenery when her footing slipped and she fell into the gorge.
56 rescuers retrieved her body since it was not easy to spot. After being retrieved, she was taken to a nearby hospital, where she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
Aanvi was celebrated for her content focusing on monsoon tourism in Maharashtra. On Instagram, she described herself as a "travel detective."
Her final Instagram post featured a video highlighting various Indian destinations ideal for visiting during the monsoon, including Udaipur, Bekal (Kerala), Delhi, Agra, and several locations in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
