Samantha Acknowledges Past Missteps in Endorsing Unhealthy Brands

Recently, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu spoke about one's diet and the kind of foods and beverages one needs to avoid, in her podcast, 'Take 20'. She took up the the subject with an expert on lifestyle and wellness, Alkesh Sharotri, thus laying emphasis on eating well. But a viewer's comment caught Samantha's attention in the episode.

Samantha, who had revealed her diagnosis with the autoimmune condition Myositis in 2022, was launched into the Telugu film industry with the 2010 movie 'Ye Maaya Chesave'. Other completed films include 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham', 'Eega', 'Dookudu', 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', 'Attarintiki Daredi', 'Kaththi', 'Theri', '24', 'Mersal', 'Rangasthalam', 'A Aa', 'Mahanati', 'Super Deluxe', 'Majili', 'Shakuntalam', and 'Kushi'. She was also present in the web series 'The Family Man'.

On her birthday in April, Samantha announced her first Telugu production tentatively titled as 'Bangaram' under her banner Tralala Moving Pictures. Sharing a quirky motion poster, she hinted, "Not everything that glitters is gold. Starting soon."

The upcoming film will mark Samantha's first feature film as a producer. She is the lead protagonist in that movie. The film is to be released in multiple languages, and nothing much is known about 'Bangaram', though sources have confirmed its release in 2025.
