'Banarasi' mangoes in London, Dubai
A consignment of 1.2 and 3 metric tonnes of mangoes were dispatched from Varanasi for London and Dubai respectively. Indians still careless despite Omicron
The snap poll had a sample size of 1,942. To a question if people were generally wearing masks and taking precautions, only 21.8 per cent of the respondents agreed that people were indeed wearing masks and taking precautions. In sharp contrast, 41.5 per cent said wearing of masks and other precautions were being followed "only sometimes" while another 33.8 per cent said they were mostly not being followed.

Omicron: How to prevent infection?
India on Monday reported 1,700 cases of Omicron variant from 23 states and Union territories, while also logging 33,750 new Covid-19 cases in a span of 24 hours, taking the active caseload to 1,45,582. Mix-match of different Covid vax safe, more effective: AIG Hospitals study
While the study "conclusively showed that mixing of vaccines is absolutely safe", the spike-protein neutralising antibodies in the mixed vaccine groups were found to be significantly higher than the same-vaccine groups. The team included 330 healthy volunteers who were not vaccinated and had no history of Covid infection. Of these, 44 (approximately 13 per cent) participants were found to be seronegative, that is, they didn't have Covid-related antibodies, while the rest 87 per cent were found to have Covid-related antibodies.
