Describing the forthcoming recitation at UN, Morari Bapu told PTI, "It's a great stroke of divine mercy; a big step towards world unity." The nine-day event will be held in the Delegates Dining Room at the UN Headquarters and, interestingly, this is the first time the Ram Katha is happening at this forum. For Morari Bapu, this constitutes the realization of a long-cherished dream.

Now, at the age of 77 years, Morari Bapu has traveled worldwide with messages of love, peace, and truth through Ram Kathas to countries like Sri Lanka, Indonesia, South Africa, Kenya, UK, US, Brazil, Australia, Israel, and Japan.

He underlined the need for small deeds on our ONE planet, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, so that peace, love, and truth spread all around. The recital at the UN aims to pray for peace and well-being in the world.

He also believes that Ram Katha can guide humankind on many of the burning contemporary issues, including mental health, environment challenges, and sustainable development. He pointed out the close affinity of the values that were inherent in the Ramcharitmanas with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing global cooperation and empathy.

He shared a view of the therapeutic potential of good communication and community, or Satsang, for mental health concerns that have been exacerbated by the modern pressures. These teachings are expected to promote balanced and harmonious living through the Ram Katha.

This program at the UN is a big step toward his bigger aim of propagating the Ramayana throughout the world. He recites them with an idea of bridging the gap and creating the realization of global brotherhood. Further events are planned in the future, which shall work much in spreading this message and help make world harmony much more enriched.
