The Uttar Pradesh Housing Department has approved a proposal by the local development authority to establish a chowpatty at Ram Ki Paidi.

An official has revealed plans to develop a section of the Saryu river bank in Ayodhya into a beach area, commonly referred to as 'chowpatty'.

The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) is actively preparing to offer a diverse range of hygienically prepared food items at the site.

According to a senior official from the authority, the objective is to create several temporary structures and zones to accommodate food carts, along with covered areas under canopies or pergolas at Ram Ki Paidi.

A tender has been issued to initiate the project, and the chosen agency will have six months to complete the civil works. Subsequently, space will be allocated to food vendors.

A budget of nearly Rs 4.66 crore has been allocated for the project's implementation.

In addition to constructing the basic infrastructure, the selected contractor will be responsible for tasks such as electrification, sanitation facilities, firefighting measures, water supply arrangements, horticulture, parking areas, and paved entry routes.

Moreover, the site must include seating capacity for a minimum of 50 individuals to ensure visitor comfort and convenience.
