UP Tells Supreme Court Ajay, Ashish Mishra Had No Role in Lakhimpur Kheri Intimidation Case

The state police made the submission before a three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant while the court resumed hearing a petition related to its monitoring of the Lakhimpur Kheri trial.

Former Union minister Ajay Mishra and his son Ashish Mishra will not face prosecution in the alleged witness intimidation case connected to the Lakhimpur Kheri trial, the Uttar Pradesh Police informed the Supreme Court on Thursday.

In the separate case involving allegations of threatening and intimidating witnesses, police told the court that only one person, Amandeep Singh, has been charge-sheeted so far.
