In a decisive and unambiguous position against terrorism, the Indian Sufi Foundation has welcomed strongly a strong fatwa issued by Chief Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi of the All India Imam Organisation.

Sufi Kashish Warsi, Indian Sufi Foundation President, has given his wholehearted support to the fatwa, emphasizing its significance in protecting the spiritual essence of Islam from radical forces.

Alluding to the recent terror strike at Pahalgam, Warsi strongly asserted that perpetrators must not be bestowed Islamic funeral rites.

“The terrorists who were involved in the Pahalgam attack do not deserve a religious farewell. I support Maulana Ilyasi’s fatwa wholeheartedly,” he declared.

Warsi stressed that this brave voice coming out of India was timely and important. "I am happy this voice has come from the hallowed land of India. The so-called Islamic countries should have led the way. It's unfortunate and shameful that Pakistan, which calls itself an Islamic state, still continues to harbor and give shelter to terrorism," he said.

Defining terrorism as a betrayal of humanity and Islamic values, Warsi reaffirmed that the perpetrators of such acts have no right in religion. "A terrorist has no religion. They only spread bloodshed and fear. Such people are the real enemies of Islam," he stated.

He also denounced those who provide moral or ideological backing to terrorists and called upon Muslims all over the world to unite against such elements. "Anybody who dishonours Islam by resorting to terrorism and violence must be socially boycotted. These are not martyrs; they are traitors to humanity and to faith," Warsi asserted.

Supporting his backing of Maulana Ilyasi's message, he went on to say, "Terrorists don't have any religion. If Maulana Ilyasi has given such a fatwa and passed it on to Pakistan, then I would call those people a shame who label their nation as Islamic and claim to be Islamics but don't obey such fatwas. It is sad because they are giving bad name to Islam."
