ISRO to share portable medical oxygen concentrator technology
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said that its rocket centre VSSC has developed medical oxygen concentrator 'Shwaas', which can deliver an enriched level (over 95 per cent) of oxygen than in air to support patients with respiratory illness or who are on oxygen therapy.
Cyclone Tauktae: 410 stranded on barges, Indian Navy ships to the rescue
In the first instance, 273 persons are struggling on a drifting barge near the Heera Oilfield at Bombay High Fields of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), around 175 km from Mumbai. Following an SOS from the Barge P305 which is adrift near the oilfields with the crew and ONGC personnel on board, the Indian Navy has dispatched two ships INS Kochi and INS Talwar to render assistance.
WhatsApp to Delhi HC: No deferment of privacy policy, trying to get users on board
Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, representing WhatsApp, submitted before a bench of Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh that it is trying to get users on board, but if they do not agree to the privacy policy, then the company will slowly delete these user accounts.

Apollo Hospitals launches pilot programme for Sputnik vaccine
The first phase of the programme will kick-off with vaccinations in Hyderabad on Monday (May 17, 2021) and in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday (May 18, 2021) at separate facilities at the Apollo Hospitals in those cities. The vaccinations would follow the SOPs as recommended by the government including registration on CoWIN.
Mamata Banerjee starts dharna at CBI's Kolkata office
Banerjee rushed to the 15th floor of the 'Nizam Palace' where the CBI has the office of its anti-corruption cell. Her spokesperson, lawyer Anindyo Raut told waiting media persons: "Didi (Banerjee) will not leave this CBI office until her party colleagues are released or until she is also arrested."

DRDO's anti-Covid drug 2-DG launched
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Health Minister Harsh Vardhan released the first batch of the 2-DG, an anti-Covid-19 therapeutic application of the drug developed by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), a lab of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in collaboration with Dr Reddy's Laboratories (DRL).
Cyclone Tauktae to reach Gujarat coast Monday evening, IMD issues Orange alert
As per the IMD, Tauktae moved north-northwestwards with a speed of about 18 kmph during past six hours and lay centered at 2.30 a.m. on Monday over the east-central Arabian Sea near about 360 km north-northwest of Panjim-Goa, 170 km south-southwest of Mumbai, 350 km south-southeast of Veraval, 310 km south-southeast of Diu and 900 km south-southeast of Karachi.
Cyclone Tauktae storms over Mumbai, razes trees, damages homes
Categorised now as 'Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm', its effects were felt shortly after midnight of Sunday-Monday with many areas lashed by heavy rains, accompanied by lightning and thunder in some places, aggravated by powerful winds, as it whirled northwards from Sindhudurg-Ratnagiri towards Raigad-Mumbai en route to the Gujarat coast.
