Rahul attacks Centre over bodies buried in sands on Ganga banks

In a tweet in Hindi, Rahul Gandhi said, "The clothes of every dead body visible on the banks of river Ganga say that the head of the Modi's system remains buried in the same sand." His attack on the Prime Minister came after several dead bodies were found buried on the banks of river Ganga in several districts of Uttar Pradesh while several of them were also seen floating in the river.
Take vaccine only after three months of Covid-19 recovery: Govt

The new rules are based on the recommendations made by NEGVAC (National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19), headed by NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul. Until now, there was no fixed time gap for taking vaccination under these conditions. The expert group had also recommended vaccination for lactating women which the government has accepted. However, no decision has been taken on pregnant women as of now.
Tauktae weakens, likely to move to Uttar Pradesh in next 24 hours

The Well-marked low-pressure area over east Rajasthan and adjoining west Madhya Pradesh has further weakened into a low-pressure area and lay centered at northwest Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood at 5.30 a.m. on Thursday, said the National Weather Forecasting Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Road caves in, house collapses due to rain in Delhi

As per the report, a team of Public Works Department (PWD) officials of the Delhi Government has reached the spot and repair work of the road is being carried out. Delhi traffic police have diverted traffic to avoid any untoward incident. Delhi traffic police issued an alert on its official twitter handle, "Traffic alert - the metro site and a house have collapsed on the way from Khaira turn to Najafgarh, please avoid using this route."
Cyclone Tauktae: Arabian Sea barge tragedy toll rises to 37

On Wednesday, at least 26 persons on board the drifting Barge Papaa-305 were found dead in the stormy Arabian Sea in the aftermath of the Cyclone Tauktae. Another 40-plus persons are still missing for whom searches continue, as the Centre ordered a probe into the tragedy. The 37 bodies have been brought to Mumbai by Indian Navy ships
India's Covid tally rises by 2.76L cases, 3,874 deaths

In the same time span, India recorded 2,76,110 new cases. India had broken its own previous record of Covid deaths on Wednesday with 4,529 deaths -- the highest number of fatalities from Covid infection so far. On Tuesday, India recorded 2.63 lakh fresh cases, lowest since April 21. Fresh Covid cases came down below the three lakh-mark for the first time on May 17.
Oxygen concentrator case: ED books Navneet Kalra for money laundering

An ED official said that the agency booked Kalra under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). He said that the agency has also taken the case documents from the Delhi Police, which arrested Kalra on Sunday evening from a Gurugram farmhouse. Recoveries outnumber new Covid cases in Karnataka

Delay in vax export by India to deal blow to poorer countries: Report

The decision is likely to leave the Covax global vaccine-sharing facility, which helps the poor countries, facing a shortfall of hundreds of millions of doses, the report said. "We continue to scale up manufacturing and prioritise India … We also hope to start delivering to Covax and other countries by the end of this year," Adar Poonawalla, the chief executive of Serum Institute of India (SII), said on Tuesday.
