First I2U2 projects to promote agriculture, food, green energy in India

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan along with the US President Joe Biden launched the Middle East Quad known as "I2U2" from the initials of the participants. The UAE will invest $2 billion in the agriculture and food project that aims to "maximise crop yields and, in turn, help tackle food insecurity in South Asia and the Middle East," the statement said on Thursday.

India's daily Covid cases jump to 20,139

The active caseload has also risen to 1,36,076 cases, accounting for 0.31 per cent of the country's total positive cases. The recovery of 16,482 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,30,28,356. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.49 per cent. Meanwhile, India's daily positivity rate has also increased to 5.10 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate currently stands at 4.37 per cent.
No holiday in UP on Independence Day this year
