Supply of arms and drugs to terrorists has been stopped. Along with elimination of terrorists, work is being done to dismantle the network of under ground workers,” he said.

Rajnath Singh arrived here earlier in the day. He addressed a conference on security in the presence of around 1,500 people.  In his address, the defence minister spoke against the spread of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the government is taking a tough stand on terrorism.  “The network of terrorism is being destroyed. New hope has arisen in the youth. We are now trying to be self-sufficient in the defence sector. 
IndiGo flight briefly enters Pak airspace due bad weather

Citing the inclement weather, the airline said that the diversion was necessary and subsequently, flight 6e-2124 was redirected to Amritsar. "Before the flight entered Pakistani airspace, the airline promptly informed the relevant authorities in both countries," said an airline official. Consequently, the Jammu and Lahore Air Traffic Control (ATC) centres worked in coordination to facilitate the smooth diversion of the flight.

Citing the several defence production deals signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to the US, she said: "GE, the largest aeronautics company, has signed an agreement with HAL for the joint production of F414 aircraft engines. This joint venture will take place in India, with 80 per cent of the technology being transferred.

Addressing a press conference at party headquarters here, Sitharaman said: “It was a bipartisan invitation which was extended to the Prime Minister to address the joint house (of the US Congress) and it was a very significant event. “For the second time for a PM to be called to address US Congress' joint session and to receive such a standing ovation is a matter of pride for all of us," she said.
