India marked the 72nd Constitution day, known as the Republic Day on the 26th January with a variety of military and cultural tableaus. With most of the prominent politicians, servicemen, and leaders present to witness the annual Republic Day parade, the event was carried out in a compact yet beautiful layout. Although COVID-19 hindered the normal procession of the event, no such drastic change was witnessed in the realisation of the entire event. In fact, the 72nd Republic day stamped an important phase in Indian history as many people and important things made its debut. Such as, the all-new Rafale jets were showcased for the first time to the general public at such a scale. Also new was the fact Bhawana Kanth, who was a part of one of the tableau's in the event, got to be one of the first female fighter pilots of India.

1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi first paid floral tributes to the martyrs at the National War Memorial

2. President Ram Nath Kovind leaving for the Republic Day event with his security force

3. President Ram Nath Kovind unfurled the National Flag while receiving the 21 Gun salute
4. Led by T90 Bheeshma Main Battle Tanks and followed by Infantry Combat Vehicle, the first tableau depicted India's massive military equipment strength
5. For the first time ever, Bangladeshi troops participated and marched along with Indian troops on the 72nd Republic Day event
6. After the Bangladeshi contingent, the Brahmos Missile System followed which is an indigenous supersonic missile system. It contributes to the AatmaNirbhar Bharat narrative
7. One of India's first three woman fighter pilot, Bhawana Kanth rode a tableau in pride
8. The National Security Guards, more famously known as the Black Cat Commandos graced the Rajpath road
9. One of India's most famous and most common;y known contingent, the CRPF marched along with a loud cheer from the crowd which included the likes of Amit Shah among other politicians
10. The 72nd Republic Day was concluded by the aircraft of the Indian Air Force. The famous Rafale jet, which made its debut, performed a 'vertical charlie' and ended the occasion
