China has declined the invitation, stating that without Russia, the summit is meaningless and this was being used just as a platform for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to push through his "peace formula."

The high-profile list includes British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, US Vice President Kamala Harris, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. This summit actually aims to provide a roadmap towards the attainment of peace in Ukraine.
