The resolution outlined that INDIA parties had submitted a comprehensive memorandum to the Election Commission of India (ECI) with specific queries about EVM design and operations. Highlighting the doubts expressed by various experts and professionals regarding EVM functionality, the resolution reiterated the need for reforms. The proposed solution was straightforward: instead of the VVPAT slip directly entering the box, it suggested handing it over to the voter. The voter, after verifying their choice on the slip, would then place it in a separate ballot box. Additionally, the resolution advocated for a complete count of all VVPAT slips.

The primary aim behind this suggested change was to instill complete confidence among the public in the fairness and transparency of elections. The resolution aimed to restore trust in the electoral process by ensuring more comprehensive verification mechanisms.

This move stemmed from the opposition's consistent questioning of EVMs and their calls for elections to be conducted using traditional ballot papers.
