On Thursday, the Indian government officially communicated with authorities in the United States and Canada regarding the alarming threats made by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a designated Khalistani terrorist, against the Indian Parliament. During the weekly briefing, Arindam Bagchi, the spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, emphasized the gravity of such threats and the delicate situation it poses.

Bagchi responded to queries about a recent video featuring Pannun, wherein he menacingly threatened an attack on the Indian Parliament on or before December 13. Addressing whether India has demanded the prosecution of Pannun in the U.S., Bagchi clarified that Pannun is wanted by Indian agencies for violating the law. He highlighted the established process for seeking assistance in prosecuting individuals based on the crimes committed.

The spokesperson affirmed ongoing communication with global partners, expressing concerns about any threats made by extremists or terrorists against India or its diplomats. Security cooperation is a continuous process, and India remains vigilant in addressing such matters.

Regarding reports of threats to Air India flights by Khalistani extremists, Bagchi assured that Indian security agencies would take appropriate action if criminal activities transpire. He condemned any threats and emphasized that security measures would be implemented in response to potential threats.

Responding to inquiries about the killing of LeT terrorists in Pakistan, individuals wanted in India for criminal and terrorist activities, Bagchi underscored India's preference for these individuals to face justice within the Indian legal system. However, he refrained from commenting on developments taking place in Pakistan.
