A 'monolith' that appeared in different parts of the world and vanished since November, appeared in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat on Thursday.
This is for the first time that a monolith which is a structure made of shiny steel sheets, has appeared in India.
But the mystery did not last long in the city like other parts of the world as the information of it being installed by a private company was disclosed very soon.
Installed by Symphony Forest Park on December 29, the monolith gained popularity on Thursday with people flocking to the garden.
The triangular prism-shaped, around seven, feet tall, the structure became a point of attraction among city dwellers.
One of the attractions that were recently inaugurated by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, the Garden is jointly managed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Symphony Ltd. It is situated near Gurudwara in the Thaltej area.
Jignesh Patel, Director, AMC's Garden Department said, "The monolith has been placed there by Symphony Ltd which takes care of the garden. The structure has been installed by the company for the visitors. People can see their reflection on the shiny surfaces of the structure and take selfies too."
The first such three-sided monolith was spotted in a remote desert of Utah, United States, and later on in around 30 countries.
